I dunno....
I guess I'm one of those people with "more money than sense"(although I don't have all that much money either!), but I purchased my Copper C from Antique Appliances and am letting them do a full restoration. Yeah it costs some, but I figure if I receive the range in "Like New" condition, with routine maintenance it will last a lifetime. The thought of even attmepting to restore one of these ranges myself makes me want to take a nap! My hats off to all of you who are tallented and knowledgeable enough to pull off the restoration process! Your work is impressive!

Paying top dollar for a perfectly restored stove makes sense. Paying top dollar for a stove that is in need of restoration, has warped parts, rust, dings, chipped finish? Not so smart.

Ageed. Pay thousands for a fully restored stove - Ask anyone who's restored one, that's the sane way to do it.

Pay thousands for a junker that you'll need to dump four months and thousands more dollars into restoring? Call the nice men in white scrubs and hose out the rubber room.
